Have you ever wanted to use Forms Authentication in SharePoint but you avoided it because of the complexity of configuration or you were concerned about any gotchas? If so then you'll want to check out this month's meeting were we'll be discussing the role of Forms Based Authentication (FBA) within SharePoint. We'll cover some considerations that need to be made when implementing FBA, we'll do a complete walkthrough of configuration FBA within a SharePoint environment, and we'll cover the development of custom login and registration forms. Finally we'll discuss some aspects of managing profiles within WSS and MOSS when implementing FBA.
